CraftMasters 2024

Would you like to get some real ICT work experience along with your studies?

If your answer is YES, and you are a student at either the University of Oulu or Oulu University of Applied Sciences, CraftMasters is the place for you. You’ll receive the latest ICT knowledge and hands-on experience from real projects to build your professional skills and get your career rolling.

We're looking for enthusiastic and talented students who have a passion for technology and a “can do” attitude. You would be working part-time as a part of a team on an ICT-related project, so problem-solving skills and a proactive way of working are seen as beneficial. Required experience depends on each project, but some knowledge of programming is needed for all of them.

CraftMasters is a collaborative program by Allied ICT Finland, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering ITEE of the University of Oulu and Buutti Oy. You will be employed part-time by the University of Oulu. Salaries are based on the demand level of the projects, which will correspond with the qualifications of the applicants. With CraftMasters, you can balance your work, studies, and free time by working either remotely or from the office located at the University of Oulu.

In summary:

  • Junior-level work as a part of an ICT-project

  • Skill requirements vary from project to project

  • Part-time so you will be able to balance work with your studies

  • Includes tutoring for the project from software development experts from Buutti

What's required of you:

  • Student at either University of Oulu OR Oulu University of Applied Sciences

  • Basic knowledge of programming

  • Passion for technology and a desire to learn more

  • A “can do” attitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive way of working

Applying:

Send us your application to eero.j.huttunen@oulu.fi and tell us about your background in technology (education, work experience, tech-related hobbies) and the kinds of projects that you are interested in.
